The sun is shining, birds are chirping, and we are finally catching a break from the cold Midwestern winter. With temperatures rising and wedding season approaching,

 

what better than a glowing spring makeup tutorial to kick off the season? Whether you’re the blushing bride or glamourous guest this look is perfect! I’ve created a simple, yet eye-catching,

 

look using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette that anyone can recreate! So grab yourself a latte (or wine, I don’t judge), follow the steps below, and be prepared to SLAY.

 

FACE:

1.) Typically I always start with the base first. (This is just personal preference. If you like to do your eyeshadow before your face makeup, by all means, go for it!)

I will apply my foundation (L’oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Glow) with a damp beauty sponge. A little goes a long way, just be sure to take your time blending it out.

2.) Next I will use a concealer (Tarte Shape Tape) a shade or two lighter than my foundation to highlight the center of my face.

I recommend applying this under your eyes, center of the forehead, bridge of the nose, and center of the chin.

Then I will go back in and blend it out with a damp beauty sponge.

3.) Using the Too Faced Cocoa Contour Kit, I will set my under eye area with the lighted shade.

I will also use the bronzing shade to bronze my cheeks and the sides of my forehead.

Now, if your going for that glam Kim K look, we will carve those cheekbones out using the cool toned contour shade in the palette.

For this I use a smaller tapered brush that will allow me to be more precise. Always contour underneath your cheekbones.

If this is new to you, go ahead and make that embarrassing fishy face!

4.) To finish up the face I’m going to go in lightly with blush just on the apples of my cheeks. (Becca Cosmetics, Flower Child )

Now for everyone’s favorite part, we highlight! Honestly you guys, it’s spring and its time to glow so you can do as much or as little as you want here.

I personally, like to glow from miles away so I’m going to apply my highlight (Colourpop, Hello Kitty) to the tops of my cheeks,

bridge of my nose, and maybe my collarbone for some fun!

Pro tip: For those of you with dryer skin, go ahead and dab your damp beauty blender directly into the highlight and then apply it to the skin.

It gives you more of a “wet” look and amplifies the glow.

EYES:

 

1). For this look I will only be using shadows from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette to keep things simple.

I will start by using a fluffy crease brush to apply the shade “Orange Soda” all over my crease.

This will be the transition color so you don’t have to be too precise.

 

2).Next using a slightly smaller blending brush I am going to take the shade “Dusty Rose” and work that into my crease.

With this one, I’m going to start in the outer corner of my eye and slowly blend it to the center and inner corner.

We want it to be a little softer towards the center. You can’t blend too much so if your in doubt, blend it out!

3).Now I’m going to pick up the shade “Mulberry”. I usually switch to a smaller brush for this but if you would like to use the same one,

that’s fine too. Because this color is darker, I’ll tap any access product off to avoid getting too heavy with it.

For this shade I will mainly focus on applying it to the outer corner of the eye.

When your happy with the intensity of that color, go ahead and blend it toward the center using a bit more of “Dusty Rose”.

 

4). Just to add a little more glam, I’m going to use a precise pencil brush dipped into the shade “Cypress Umber” and apply it to the outer corner of the eye.

This we will not work into the center. Darkening up that outer eye will make your eyes appear larger and make them POP.

 

5). Next I’m going to dip a flat shader brush into “Sultry” and apply this all over my eyelid. If you would like a little more intensity, wet you brush before dipping into the shadow.

Because sometimes you fingers are the best makeup tool, I’m going to apply the shade “Glistening” to just the center of my eyelid using my finger tip.

Just adding that bit of gold to the center will really add some definition to the look.

6). We will finish up by using a flat definer brush to blend dusty rose and mulberry under the eyes,

staying as close to the waterline as you can. Then dipping back into my highlighter,

I will apply just a bit into the inner corner of my eyes to open them up and add that dewy look we are going for!

Finally, I personally like to apply a bit of eyeliner onto the waterline and of course , mascara.

And Viola! We have a perfect look for any spring event. Whether it’s a bridal shower, Easter Sunday, or even just for a stroll in the park you will be stunning.

This rose gold smokey eye is flattering on many different skin tones and without a doubt would make any eye color stand out.
